Commemoration of the 80th Birth Anniversary and the 9th Death Anniversary of Emeritus Professor J N O Fernando will be held on Friday, the 01st of March 2024 from 3:30 p.m. onward at the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, Rajagiriya. Emeritus Professor J N O Fernando Memorial Oration will be delivered by the eminent Chemist, Professor P.A. Nimal Punyasiri, Chair and Professor of Biochemistry, Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of Colombo.

There will be other activities parallel to the above event during this period, such as religious ceremonies. These events are jointly organized by the J.N.O. Fernando Commemoration Committee and the Student Association of CCS.

Considering the current situation of the country, the committee decided to donate some essential items, such as mosquito nets, food items, urine bags, adhesive plasters, dressing materials and gauze bandages, to the adults in Victoria Home, Rajagiriya.
