The Clodagh Nethsingha Library of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon provides academic resources and library services to support the educational, professional and research activities of the Institute.
The library has developed its collections, services and infrastructure to facilitate efficient access to information for students and staff.
Library services have been modernised through automation using the Koha Library Management System. Bibliographical information for library materials is available through the online catalogue, while the circulation system has been changed from a manual to an electronic method.
The Clodagh Nethsingha Library serves the IChemC community at both Adamantane House, Rajagiriya and the Malabe Campus.

A Library with a Longstanding History
The library has evolved from a small reading area into an automated academic resource centre serving the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon.
The Beginning
The library came into existence as a small reading area at the CISIR Library.
New Headquarters
After passing several milestones, the library was established at the Institute's new headquarters.
Automated Library Services
The library uses the Koha Library Management System, providing online bibliographical information and electronic circulation services.
Remembering Ms. Clodagh Nethsingha
The library is named after the late Ms. Clodagh Nethsingha, who served as the first Chairperson of the Library Committee and was a prominent figure in the library field in Sri Lanka.
Her contribution and association with the Institute form an important part of the history behind the library that bears her name.
The library continues to carry her name as a lasting recognition of her contribution to the Institute and to the development of library services.
